Multipurpose cleaner

I mixed up and tried my first batch of homemade multipurpose cleaner yesterday. I haven't anything tough or caked on yet to try to clean but for minor spills and general counter wipe-downs it's worked fantastically.

My recipe:
12oz distilled white vinegar
12oz water
(Also known as 1:1 parts water and vinegar)
3-4 drops essential oil -- I used sweet orange

Even though I shook it up after I added my EO, the oil seemed to float on the surface of the spray bottle and left a little ring stain even. And then I felt like because it had done that it wasn't leaving my surfaces smelling like orange. Maybe in the future I should add vinegar, then my EO, and then add water last.

I'm shaking before each use now and it seems to be working fine.
